My Fellow Republicans:

There's no doubt about it! Mitt Romney took the stage at the University of Denver last night and clearly distinguished himself as the man we need to "right our country's financial ship." The former Massachusetts governor displayed a professorial knowledge of how markets work and how federal government regulations strangle job creation in these United States. Additionally, Governor Romney directly corrected a number of misleading statements that his opponent has been making in numerous television Ads to misinform voters about Governor Romney's policy positions on a myriad of issues from taxes to healthcare.

Clearly Governor Romney was focused and articulate in differentiating his positions from the President's. Mitt Romney wants a smaller, leaner federal government with sensible, as opposed to overbearing, regulations. Governor Romney even candidly told Public Broadcast System moderator, Jim Lehrer that under a Romney Administration, there wouldn't be any government funding for PBS. Mr. Romney's superior knowledge of corporate and public financial matters was crystal clear from the beginning to the end of the debate.

As a result of Governor Romney's sterling performance in Denver, I know our Republican Party volunteers have been invigorated and will work even harder during the next five (5) weeks so that we can make sure we get our country and the State of Nevada back on the right track to economic prosperity. Please do two things to help us get Mitt Romney and all our Republican candidates elected on November 6, 2012:

1. Sign up to volunteer today to help Mitt Romney and the entire Republican Party ticket. You can sign up online at http://www.nevadagop.org/about/volunteer/.

2. Go to our website and donate $10, $25, $50 or more to help us contact voters for Mitt Romney, Senator Dean Heller and the entire Republican Party ticket. It is key that we contact these voters before early voting starts on October 20th which is just 16 days from today. You can donate online at http://www.nevadagop.org/donate/.

The next nationally televised debate will be between the two Vice Presidential nominees and will be held on Thursday, October 11, 2012, at 6:00 PM Pacific Time. It will be broadcast live from Centre College in Danville, Kentucky. I'm looking forward to watching Paul Ryan take Joe Biden to school!

Thanks in advance for your support and please help your Party, Nevada and, in turn, the entire nation by immediately following-up on items 1 and 2 above which will turn Nevada RED on November 6th.

Sincerely,

Michael J. McDonald
Chairman

Nevada Republican Party Vice Chairman James Smack issued the following statement regarding the events surrounding the roll call vote of the Nevada delegation for the nomination of President of the United States at the Republican National Convention in Tampa, Florida:

“First of all, I would like to congratulate the winning Republican ticket of Governor Mitt Romney and Congressman Paul Ryan on securing the Republican nomination this evening in Tampa, FL. We look forward to working as hard as we can as the Nevada Republican Party to help secure victory on November 6th for the next President of the United States, Mitt Romney!” Smack said.

Nevada Republican Party Secretary Jim DeGraffenreid added, “We are a party of rules. The behavior by certain members of the Nevada delegation, who chose to disregard the rules passed overwhelmingly by the Nevada Republican Party Central Committee nearly two years ago, is extremely unfortunate. The Nevada Republican Party wants to be very clear that these actions were the decisions of the delegation members, and were not sanctioned in any way by the Nevada Republican Party leadership.”

Smack concludes, “Chairman Michael McDonald and myself, along with a majority of the Executive Board of the Nevada Republican Party, disavow this action by certain members of the Nevada delegation, and will continue to work tirelessly toward victory this November for not only Mitt Romney but all of our Republican candidates in Nevada this fall. The actions of an unruly few should not color the entire state party, and we share the frustration of all Nevada Republicans by the actions taken by a delegation that chose not to follow the rules.”

"President Obama once again has decided to visit Nevada, one of the states hardest hit by his disasterous policies, in what will be a failed attempt to save the only job important to him: his own," said James Smack, Vice Chairman of the Nevada Republican Party Tuesday afternoon.

The President's visit to Reno and Las Vegas appears to be too little too late with the fruits of his failed policies at a breaking point in hard hit Nevada. Recent Bureau of Labor statistics reflect what citizens of Nevada have been facing. Continues Smack, "Since Obama Took Office, Nevada Has Lost 62,100 Jobs And The Unemployment Rate Has Increased From 9.6 Percent To 12 Percent, and has lead the nation for four years in foreclosures. Obama's failed policies have increased the number of Nevadans living in poverty, and his tax plan would harm an already struggling economy even more. It would be difficult to see how Silver State voters could give the President four more years to see how much more damage his policies can do."

Nevada voters seeking to break from overreaching and destructive policies face a very clear answer in what is teaming up to be the most important election in many voters' lifetimes. Smack argues that Mitt Romney can fix what Obama has broken. "This administration's record speaks for itself: $6 Trillion added to the deficit, national unemployment over 8%, and Obamacare choking off hiring and small business expansion. Nevada needs America's Comeback Team for real economic change: Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan. Nevada voters and voters across the nation need to restore some sanity to government and send a message back to President Obama that four more years of failure is not an option."

Good morning Nevada Republicans,

July Fourth is our Independence Day; the meaning of this holiday embodies what it is to be American.

While most of will us celebrate this day with our families, barbequing and watching fireworks. It is important to remember that on this day in 1776 our forefathers adopted the Declaration of Independence, which finally separated us from Great Britain. John Adams wrote to his wife about the Declaration and said that it “will be the most memorable epoch in the history of America. I am apt to believe that it will be celebrated by succeeding generations as the great anniversary festival. It ought to be commemorated as the day of deliverance, by solemn acts of devotion to God Almighty. It ought to be solemnized with pomp and parade, with shows, games, sports, guns, bells, bonfires, and illuminations, from one end of this continent to the other, from this time forward forever more.”

Under our current administration many of the ideals that are outlined in the Declaration of Independence are being systematically stripped from the American people. There is only one way to change the destructive path that we are on. It is time to elect a new, Republican, President of the United States.

This day also holds a somberness that must be addressed. All of our armed forces past, present, future, living and deceased have guarded our borders with their lives. Placing the safety of the Country they promised to protect above their own, leaving their families, loved ones and friends behind to defend the Land of the Free from afar. I would like all of us to take a moment to remember the fallen and thank those that have served or are serving our Country for our safety.

It is my hope that all of you have a wonderful Fourth of July and that you will celebrate your American pride safely.

God Bless America.

LAS VEGAS,NV - Nevada Republican Party Vice Chairman James Smack called today's US Supreme Court ruling on the Affordable Health Care Act "a sad day for our Republic" and said Nevada voters are more motivated than ever to elect Mitt Romney for President and Dean Heller to the US Senate.

"This ruling by the Supreme Court of the United States does not change the fact that the majority of Nevadans believe Obamacare means tax increases and higher insurance premiums," Smack said. "The solution remains the same: Elect Governor Romney and repeal Obamacare."

Furthermore, Smack proceeded to point out the significant differences between Republican Senator Dean Heller and his opponent, Rep. Shelley Berkley. When in the House, Heller voted against passage of Obamacare, while Berkley voted for the Affordable Health Care Act and by extension the largest tax increase in the history of the United States.

"This choice is extraordinarily clear in November. You can vote for a conservative that would vote to repeal and replace Obamacare in Senator Dean Heller, or you can vote for Nancy Pelosi's parrot in Shelley Berkley." Smack stated.
