“Congresswoman Berkley’s amusing event today was nothing more than a career politician looking to score cheap political points.  Shelley Berkley knows that raising taxes on our energy producers will skyrocket prices at the pump but Berkley clearly doesn’t care about the struggling middle class as she has consistently voted against bipartisan efforts to expand domestic oil and natural gas production. Berkley knows that the efforts led by Senator Reid are nothing more than political theatre and will not drop gas prices yet she jumps at the opportunity to ramp up her nasty, negative machine fueled by false information and Democrat spin in an effort to attack Senator Heller. It’s going to be a lonely campaign road for the Congresswoman as she learns her tax and spend message does not resonate well beyond her liberal corner.”
