Las Vegas, NV – Nevada Republican Party Chairman Michael J. McDonald released the following statement regarding the Texas primary win for Governor Romney.

“I’d like to thank Governor Romney for visiting Las Vegas yesterday and congratulate him on winning the Texas primary,” said Chairman McDonald.

“Last night, Governor Romney secured the number of delegates needed to become the official Presidential nominee of the Republican Party. We, as Nevadans, have the opportunity to ensure that President Obama serves only one term. In order to achieve this, it is imperative that we unite behind our Republican candidate and focus all of our energy and effort on getting him elected.” he continued.

“Our State and our Country have suffered greatly under the current administration. Governor Romney has the vision and expertise to reverse the downward spiral that we have endured for so long.”

Chairman McDonald concluded with, “Nevada Republicans have a multitude of opportunities to show their support for their state, their Party and their Presidential candidate.  I encourage each of you to support the Nevada Republican Party and its leaders through donations, recruitment and volunteerism. United we will be victorious in November and have the honor of welcoming a new Republican President in Mitt Romney.”
